(FOX 2) Allen Park, Mich.Head coach Dan Campbell isn’t overly concerned about his squad playing poorly before of Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
With kickoff at 1 p.m. on Sunday, the Lions will travel to Chicago, where temps will be in the 30s, ending their three-game home streak and six-game dome run.
Campbell isn’t concerned about any of that, though.
Yes, I believe that simply getting back on the road is beneficial for us. Although it’s been nice to be home, let’s go on. Let’s leave. And we’re alone out there,” Campbell remarked.
Campbell stated that in order to prepare for Sunday’s game, the Lions had been practicing outdoors rather than indoors.
“For the past two days, we have been outside. Those guys are kind of energized, and we’re going out again today. It gives those folks outdoors a new kind of juice, you know. The big (men) adore it, you know. Additionally, there are a lot of talented athletes that are having fun and running around. It’ll be beneficial for us out there, and I think it fits us really well,” Campbell remarked.
Following David Montgomery’s knee injury, the Lions will be dependent on Jahmyr Gibbs’ legs. The star may have escaped a season-ending operation, as evidenced by the fact that he is anticipated to miss the remainder of the season and was thought to miss the postseason as well.

Although Campbell would not confirm, he expressed optimism.
Campbell remarked, “I suppose whatever has been put out there is what it is.” “I believe we might see where this leads. We still have to make a choice. Even if that is the case, it still comes down to whether or not to put him on IR and how quickly he recovers. Despite all of that, it sounds more hopeful. “I think it’s the best way to put it,” Campbell remarked.
This Sunday at 1 p.m., the Lions and Bears will play each other.
