New York Jets star Garrett Wilson turns heads with sad remarks about quiet performance against Los Angeles Rams
When questioned about his little role during the New York Jets’ Week 16 loss, Garrett Wilson gave a seemingly dismal response.
In a chilly atmosphere at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Wilson and the Jets lost 19–9.
With ace quarterback Aaron Rodgers finding Daavante Adams for the score in the end zone late in the first quarter, the Jets put off an outstanding first 99-yard touchdown drive.
But during the game, New York would not score another touchdown.
Wilson, 24, recorded seven targets and six receptions for 54 yards, which was a lackluster day on the stat sheet.
Wilson was questioned about whether he thought he was open during plays where he wasn’t the target.

Garrett Wilson’s Jets future in doubt with star WR ‘set to demand trade’
After the game, Wilson told reporters, “I just put my best foot forward and see how it plays out, that’s all I can really do.”
“That’s my only option. I think my routes in this game were good.
“I feel like I had an opportunity to help the team, but sometimes, it just doesn’t fall like that.”
Prior to the Jets’ last drive, the third-year wide receiver was also targeted just three times.
Wilson then gave an apparently sad remark when asked about his limited usage in the Jets’ offense for the majority of the game.
“I would really like to be active and have an influence on the game, but I have no control over how other people perceive it. He answered, “Just try to do what I can.”
Wilson continues to rank fourth in both receptions (94) and NFL targets (141).
With his selected team, the former first-round choice is on track to record his third consecutive 1,000-yard season.
To get there, Wilson needs just 13 yards in the last two games against the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.
However, in a podcast last week, ESPN analyst Rich Cimini stated that he thinks Wilson will ask the Jets for a trade.
“I talk to people in Garrett Wilson’s circle,” he stated.
“They believe he will request a trade after the season, and I want to stress that this is just conjecture on their behalf.
“Speculative, once more, by those who know him. That is unknown to us as a fact.
Even Wilson is unsure if New York is the right place for him in the future, although he will be eligible for a contract extension next season.
Wilson started to explain, “I don’t know man,” according to SNY. “I simply reason that I should do whatever, you know. But, you know, go about my day and be where my feet are.”
He went on to say, “And if they do it,” “It would be amazing if I were gifted. I adore the Jets. Ultimately, they were the first people to have faith in me.
“Well, you know. I can’t let all of that concern me. merely completing these three games in the proper manner. However, I’m not sure, guy, and I can’t be investigating all of that at this time.”
Wilson’s recent remarks will undoubtedly feed trade rumors.

The Jets will name a new general manager and head coach in the offseason after missing the playoffs for the fourteenth consecutive season.
Furthermore, it’s unclear if the organization will re-sign Rodgers in 2025.
