Moment passenger nearly dragged to his DEATH by train pulling into station as horrified travellers helplessly watch
This is the horrific scene as a train was approaching the station and almost dragged a passenger to his death.
A man was waiting on the platform at London Blackfriars when the train clipped his shoulder, according to CCTV evidence.
The passenger gets knocked to the ground in the terrifying video, which was made public by Godiva Thameslink.
He kicks himself back to safety, and his legs seem to just escape being dragged beneath the carriage.
Terrified passengers rush to his rescue after watching in disbelief.
GTR has now cautioned rail customers on the significance of waiting behind the yellow line, even though the guy miraculously survived.
“We’re already seeing a higher volume of passengers due to the festive season, and while our staff on the ground are there to help, it’s important people are doing their part to keep themselves safe,” stated Samantha Facey, Health Safety & Security Director at Thameslink and Great Northern.
“Over 150 slip, trip, and fall events occurred on the network last winter, and these can be very dangerous on the railroad.
“To protect yourself and other passengers, please allow ample time for your journey so you don’t have to rush to catch a train. You should also always stay behind the yellow safety line.
“Following these simple steps will help you to get home safely this Christmas.”
We released heart-stopping video in October of a girl who unintentionally ran straight onto a speeding train on a level crossing.
She barely avoided death when she and another pedestrian, who looked to be an elderly lady with a shopping bag, fled for their life.
Network Rail posted the video as part of a strong warning against level crossing misuse.
According to the rail operator, during the 2023–24 fiscal year, there were 28 near-misses and 466 instances of level crossing usage on its Wessex route in July.
According to Network Rail, level crossings pose one of the largest threats to public safety on the railway.
More CCTV footage from earlier this year captured the heroic moment a commuter jumped into railroad lines to save a toddler.
Twenty-two seconds before a train roared by, the heroic deed was performed.
The three-year-old had been walking along the platform andstarted to lower himselfover the edge before falling on to the track.
Warrick Dent, safety and operations director at LNER, said: “Thankfully incidents like the one captured on the CCTV are rare, but they do happen.

“We are aware that taking kids on a trip might be difficult. It may be somewhat frustrating to maneuver buggies and bags through a crowded station.
“So, we want to make sure parents and carers are aware of the services we have available which can make their journey with us smoother and safer.”
