Detroit Zoo welcomes African Lion named Kalu to its pride

The newest addition to the Detroit Zoo is Kalu the African Lion.

(FOX 2) Royal Oak, Mich.Last month, a new member joined the Detroit Zoo’s ranks.

According to the Detroit Zoological Society’s social media post on Monday, Kalu is a magnificent lion.

As the third exhibit expansion, Kalu formally joined the zoo in November. He joins the zoo’s 2019 additions, Asha and Amirah, who are female.

Additionally, the Detroit Zoo will be open for Wild Lights and, of course, the chance to meet the newest addition to the zoo on December 26 and beyond, even though it will be closed on Christmas Day.
