CBS kick Kansas City Chiefs off national TV live broadcast after being humiliated by rivals Denver Broncos
There weren’t many intriguing games for fans to watch on the NFL’s Week 18 schedule.
This was most noticeable during the Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs game.
After Week 17, the Chiefs decided to rest their starters for crucial postseason games in order to secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
The final game of the regular season did not feature top players like Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
The Broncos, on the other hand, needed to win the game in order to secure the seventh seed in the AFC and secure their postseason spot.
The Broncos destroyed the Chiefs’ reserves in a wildly unbalanced game as a result of those two factors.

The Chiefs’ total yards were 125, whereas Denver’s was 479.
With a final score of 38-0, the Broncos advanced to the postseason.
However, because CBS aired the game nationally, Broncos fans outside of the local market were unable to witness their team win their most important game of the season.
CBS shifted to the Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders game in the third quarter because it was a “more competitive game.”
The Chiefs and Broncos being kicked off TV and aired on social media made NFL fans giggle.
It’s funny, but in the third quarter, CBS ‘better gamed’ us. One fan commented, “I’m glad they realized at last that the #Chiefs weren’t taking this seriously.”
“CBS changed games because they didn’t want to keep showing the Chiefs get curb stomped,” a different supporter stated.
“You know it’s bad when the network switches to ‘a more competitive game,'” observed another enthusiast.
“Pat Mahomes isn’t playing so CBS decided to take the game off air in its entirety,” said another fan.
A fifth fan remarked, “The Chiefs weren’t playing so poorly that they were taken off television.”
The NFL playoff schedule is finalized after the Broncos destroyed the Chiefs and were removed from live television.
