91-Year-Old Father Attacked by Son in South Florida Home, Arrest Made, What Police Says
Miami, Florida – After allegedly beating and robbing his 91-year-old father last week, a man from South Florida is now being charged with major offenses.
Adam Jose Gonzalez, 34, reportedly went up to his father on Friday morning at their Miami-Dade home and asked for assistance, according to the police.
Gonzalez allegedly choked his father from behind and took his wallet, which contained about $170 in cash, bank cards, and a bus pass, after his father refused to help.
The event happened at a house close to the intersection of Northwest 22nd Street and 19th Avenue at approximately 9:00 a.m.

Gonzalez was taken into custody by police on Friday afternoon and placed under detention at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility.
As of Saturday afternoon, Gonzalez was still incarcerated on counts of domestic strangulation, strongarm robbery, and abuse of an elderly person.
Judge Daryl E. Trawick of the Miami-Dade County Circuit Court will soon arraign him.
