UFC boss Dana White lands shock new job that leaves MMA fans all saying same thing
UFC CEO Dana White has been appointed to the board of directors of Meta, the company that owns Instagram and Facebook.
Social media tycoon Mark Zuckerberg is friends with White, and the two are now partners in a firm.
“I love social media,” the MMA promoter remarked as he announced his new position on the Meta board.
“And I m excited to be a small part of the future of AI and emerging technologies.”
White joins Charlie Songhurst, the former General Manager and Head of Global Corporate Strategy at Microsoft, and John Elkann, the CEO of Exor.
Dana, John, and Charlie will contribute a breadth of knowledge and viewpoint that will enable us to address the enormous opportunities that lie ahead with wearable technology, artificial intelligence, and the future of human connection, according to Zuckerberg.
White went on to say: Prior to receiving the opportunity to join Meta’s board, I had no interest in joining a board of directors.
