The 30-year-old mother of two hasn’t been heard from in six days, and Roseville Police say they have cause to suspect foul play at an apartment connected to the case.
Authorities verified that Elkins’ ex-boyfriend, whose house was searched by police, was the suspect who was taken into custody. According to officials, it was found throughout the search that there was a high likelihood of foul play in this incident and that it most likely occurred in Roseville.
He will be arraigned on Thursday at 10 a.m., according to the police.
Elkins’ family was invited to visit the Roseville Police Department on Wednesday night to receive an update on the investigation, FOX 2 also learned.
