Cotton Bowl tickets prices plummet as fans fear for safety over severe weather conditions ahead of Texas-Ohio State

Before Friday’s Texas-Ohio State Cotton Bowl game, ticket prices have drastically decreased due to the harsh winter weather.

Traveling fans will be impacted by the storm that AT&T Stadium, the site of the College Football Playoff game, is preparing for.

Given the size of Ohio State’s fan base and the stadium’s proximity to Austin and Texas, where many Longhorns supporters live, the Cotton Bowl was predicted to be a hot ticket.

However, a number of significant secondary ticketing services will charge a higher admission fee for the Orange Bowl game between Notre Dame and Penn State.

Tickets for the Cotton Bowl at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, which is standing room only, were available on Wednesday for slightly more than $100 each.

However, the cheapest Orange Bowl tickets at the Miami Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium cost more than twice as much, at $200.

As supporters fear for their safety, Orange Bowl ticket prices have fallen precipitously.

The snow storm will begin Thursday morning and continue through Thursday evening at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

According to the National Weather Service, the current forecast predicts two to four inches of snow and nearly a tenth of an inch of ice.

Winter storm warnings have been issued by the NWS.

Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to attend the game, but the weather could be hazardous.

The game will proceed as planned, according to a joint statement released by AT&T Stadium and the Cotton Bowl on Tuesday.

Hard Rock Stadium can accommodate about 65,000 people, whereas AT&T Stadium can accommodate over 100,000.

The Cotton Bowl weather problem occurs one week after the Sugar Bowl quarterfinal between Notre Dame and George was postponed by one day to January 2 in the wake of the tragic New Orleans attack on New Year’s Day.
