DETROIT (FOX 2):The North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) winners were revealed Friday morning as the Detroit Auto Show gets underway.
Fifty car journalists cast votes for the cars. When determining which cars are the greatest, they prioritized exceptional innovation, design, performance, driver pleasure, and value.
This weekend marks the return of the Detroit Auto Show to Huntington Place. Here are all the things you need to do this year.
“This year, there will be a lot of competition for these awards,” stated Jeff Gilbert, president of NACTOY and an automotive reporter. “Our crop of gasoline-powered cars, hybrids, and EVs is well-balanced. It will be difficult to select just one winner from each category because they are all excellent options.
In 2025, Honda, Ford, and Volkswagen all won prizes. A Ford vehicle has received a NACTOY award for the second consecutive year. The Ford Super Duty took first place last year.
