Red Wings hold off Blackhawks 5-3 for 6th straight victory

(AP) Detroit, MI-DETROIT The Detroit Red Wings defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 on Friday night, winning their sixth consecutive game with goals and assists from Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond.

Cam Talbot made 23 saves, Andrew Copp and Marco Kasper added goals, while Albert Johansson scored his first NHL goal. Three assists were provided by Patrick Kane.

Ryan Donato and Teuvo Teravainen both scored goals for the Blackhawks in the third period. With an assist in the first period, Connor Bedard extended his scoring run to nine games. 12 saves were made by Petr Mrazek.

Teravainen’s goals in the third period came after Detroit had already taken a 4-1 lead. Kasper put away his empty-netter.
