Infamous Yankees fans who tussled with Mookie Betts in World Series banned from entering all MLB stadiums

The infamous New York Yankees fans who obstructed Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts during the World Series have been banned indefinitely by Major League Baseball.

In October, during Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, the two Yankees fans attempted to remove the ball from Betts’ grasp.

Following their prolonged interactions with Betts, it was disclosed that the fans, Austin Capobianco and John P. Hanson, had been barred from all 30 of MLB’s stadiums.

The Post got the letter that the MLB issued to the two Yankees fans on Friday.

“Your actions significantly beyond the bounds of appropriate fan behavior and presented a major risk to the player’s health and safety. Major League Baseball has banned you from all MLB stadiums, offices, and other facilities for an indefinite period of time due to your behavior,” the letter stated.

In the letter, MLB also stated that either party would be ejected and might be arrested for trespassing if they were observed at any of the league’s sites or events.

Betts jumped and collected a fly ball from Gleyber Torres close to the right field stands during Game 4 of the World Series.

But after the catch, the two Bronx Bombers supporters tried to rip the ball out of his mitt by grabbing his glove.

Capobianco and Hanson were prohibited by MLB from going to Game 5 in the Bronx the next day.

The season ticket holder, who has held the seats since 1990, was allowing the two fans to use them even though they weren’t present during Game 4.

“The safety and security of players, fans, and Stadium staff is the foundational element of every event held at Yankee Stadium, and it cannot be compromised,” the Yankees stated in a statement regarding their actions at the time.

The Yankees and MLB collectively decided to prohibit Capobianco and Hanson from The House That Ruth Built, according to The Post. The league also banned the two from all MLB parks.

Capobianco told ESPN after Game 4 that he anticipated going to the next World Series game.

The fan also disclosed that he and Peter had been preparing to interfere with a player for a long time.

“I patrol that wall and they know that,” Capobiano stated during an interview with the publication.

The Dodgers secured the World Series title with a victory in Game 5.

Betts didn’t hesitate to criticize the two Yankees supporters for their choice.

“Dude, that was crazy, truly crazy. That is unlike anything I have ever experienced. The eight-time MLB All-Star told Fox that it was the second time in his life that he had ever wanted to attack someone.
