Samsung reveals genius new trick to control your TV without a remote, your phone or even your voice

Samsung has developed a brand-new method of controlling your TV that doesn’t involve your voice or phone.

At CES, the largest tech expo in the world, which takes place in Las Vegas every year, the South Korean company has been busy introducing a ton of new devices and advancements.

The Sun also went along to witness some of the major upcoming improvements up close.

One modification that drew our attention was a new method of controlling your Samsung TV using a smartwatch.

However, this innovative concept only asks you to wave your wrist around, saving you the trouble of choosing buttons on your smartwatch.

When the primary remote control is lost, a Galaxy Watch might be a lifesaver for owners.

Additionally, since the watch is on your wrist, it’s probably much faster than utilizing the controls on your smartphone.

The Samsung Quick Remote “automatically detects nearby TVs and converts to a remote control whenever needed,” according to the company.

“Simply control the TV with your Galaxy Watch with gesture even when your hands are busy.”

Samsung describes four ways this operates at a CES show booth.

You may use your wrists as a cursor to move around your TV.

You can choose items by pinching with your fingers.

A single fist will send you back, but two fists will bring you home.

You must have a Galaxy Watch 4 or later in order to benefit from the update.

Additionally, it is currently limited to Samsung’s planned 2025 TVs.

At a later time, though, the company might present it to 2023 and 2024 models.

It costs nothing at all to unlock additional channels on your Samsung TV.

Samsung TV Plus provides fast access to streaming channels, including many well-known series.

Back-to-back episodes of shows like Better Call Saul and The Graham Norton Show are available in the UK, along with channels from Sky and U&Dave broadcaster UKTV.

Real Housewives, The Walking Dead Universe, NFL Channel, and Fox Sports all have their own channels in the United States.
