Ohio State advanced to the national title by winning the Cotton Bowl game in Arlington, Texas.
Additionally, Texas was outscored 14-0 in the fourth quarter, leaving them to lament their loss.

“Even if things didn’t go our way, it was very amazing to watch us recover as well as we did over the course of the season.
“I am really proud of each and every one of these boys. I adore each and every one of them.
“We work together and our love grows as a result of the amount of work we do in the off-season with our conditioning and summer workouts.
“It’s been a really cool season and I’m so proud to be a Longhorn.”
Ewers completed 23 of his 39 passes for 283 yards.
In the defeat, he had two touchdowns and an interception.
Additionally, with 2:29 remaining, Texas failed to turn a 1st and Goal at the one-yard line into a score.
Social media users wanted Arch Manning to play in that scenario.
However, they were heartbroken by the outcome and frustrated by his lack of playing time.
One said on X, “If we can t get no score this drive it s time for Arch Manning.”
“Put Arch Manning in,” another person wrote. Ewers Quinn is not it.
How the 12-team CFP works
On Friday, December 20, the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff will begin.
Who will enter, though?
Around New Year’s, the top four conference winners will all receive a first-round bye to the quarterfinals.
Even if they are not among the top 12 teams in the country, the fifth-highest conference champion will also be guaranteed a spot.
This guarantees a champion from a conference in the second tier will have the opportunity to compete for the national title.
On Friday, December 20, or Saturday, December 21, teams ranked five through eight will host a first-round playoff game.
Additionally, they will face the nine- through twelve-seeded teams.
The CFP committee determines all of these rankings and seedings, among other things, by looking at schedule strength and record.
The National Championship Game this year will be held in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday, January 20.
A third person said, “Instead of putting Arch Manning in the game on 1st and goal at the 1 and guaranteeing a score, Steve Sarkisian chose to have the worst play calling series I have ever seen in my life.”
On Monday, January 20, Ohio State will play Notre Dame in the national championship.
In the twelve-team playoffs, the Buckeyes were seeded eighth.
