Green Bay Packers superstar puts future in doubt while making feelings known at NFL playoff exit to Eagles
After a terrible season finale, the Green Bay Packers may be on the verge of losing one of its best players.
In the playoffs’ wild card round, Green Baylim lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 22–10.
The Packers ended another promising season with their third consecutive loss.
27-year-old cornerback Jaire Alexander was injured and missed the game.
In 2022, he signed a four-year, $84 million contract, making him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.
However, a sprained PCL ended Alexander’s season.

He did not play in the final seven games of the regular season after suffering the injury on October 28 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
On November 17, the 27-year-old tried to make a comeback against the Chicago Bearson, but he injured his injury again.
On January 4, he was added to the injured reserve list.
He thus missed the wild card loss in Philadelphia and the Week 18 loss to Chicago.
Furthermore, Alexander’s future in Green Bay remains unknown.
This week, following the conclusion of the Packers’ season, he went back to the team facility.
Alexander also refused to talk to the media, saying he wasn’t sure if he would be returning for the upcoming season.
NBC26 in Green Bay’s Kelly Hallinan reported that Alexander “said he didn’t have anything good to say so definitely wasn’t going to talk.”
If the Packers cut Alexander, they will save $6.8 million on the 2025 dead cap and incur a $18.1 million charge.
However, they would save $17 million and only have a dead cap charge of $7.8 million if they designated him for release after June 1.
Since the start of his professional career in 2018, Alexander has been with Green Bay.
