LA Rams star Tyler Higbee rushed to hospital after coughing up blood following NFL playoff win over Vikings

During the Los Angeles Rams’ 27-9 playoff victory over the Minnesota Vikings, tight end Tyler Higbee spit up blood due to an injury that required him to be taken to the hospital.

As the Rams get ready to play the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round this weekend, an update on the 32-year-old Higbee has been made public.

With a chest injury, Higbee left Monday night’s victory, but things changed.

Rams head coach Sean McVay disclosed on Tuesday that Higbee was admitted to the hospital following his “coughing up a little bit of blood.”

Higbee was allowed to return home to Los Angeles from the neutral-site game, which was rescheduled because of the continuing wildfires in Southern California, McVay continued.

Higbee is in “stable” condition, according to McVay, who anticipates the nine-year NFL veteran to participate in the next playoff game.

McVay stated on Monday night that there was a problem with his chest. “I think he s going to be okay.”

Higbee recorded five receptions for 58 yards in the first quarter of Monday’s playoff game, giving him an outstanding start.

After the second quarter, he was labeled as unlikely to return, but at the start of the third quarter, he was downgraded to out.

The Rams dominated the Vikings from beginning to end, with Higbee playing just 12 snaps and sacking Sam Darnold nine times.

He caught eight passes for 66 yards and two scores in three games during the regular season.

The Rams will need to be ready for their next game against the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday.

Thankfully, Higbee appears to be able to participate in the competition.

The Rams would use Cody Parkinson, Hunter Long, and Davis Allen at tight end if he is unable to play.
