Donald Trump to have ring of steel at Presidential inauguration after two failed assassination attempts

Before today’s presidential inauguration, Donald Trump was greeted with a fireworks show upon his return to Washington.

At the ceremony on Saturday night, he and his spouse, Melania, were also serenaded by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

After he and his vice president, JD Vance, laid a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Mr. Trump, 78, made an appearance in front of thousands of supporters yesterday at a Make America Great Again Victory Rally.

Following two assassination attempts on Mr. Trump in the lead-up to his victory over Joe Biden in November, a ring of steel has already been thrown around the city.

However, due to temperatures as low as -12C, the event at 5 p.m. UK time has been moved indoors for the first time in 40 years, which has made the work of security officers easier.

Nearly a quarter of a million people were expected to attend, according to the organizers.

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss, former Home Secretary Suela Braverman, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, TV hardman Ant Middleton, and Ambassador to the US Karen Pierce are among the British anticipated to attend.

Trump will have tea at the White House with Mr. Biden and his First Lady Jill prior to the event, and he will attend a morning church service.

Additionally, Trump will speak at three inaugural balls following a signing ceremony for the Oval Office at the White House.

Glasgow couple David Alexander, 40, and Shannen Kelly, 30, described how they traveled in on Saturday to show their support while sporting similar red MAGA caps.

DJ and a father of two David stated: When Trump was filmed, we were at Universal Studios in Orlando.

When he survived, the atmosphere became celebratory.

He remarked, “I was wearing shorts yesterday and telling people that this is like summer compared to Scotland,” alluding to the frigid weather.

“You’re going to hear President Trump talk about how we are entering a golden age of America and how Americans can restore their hope in this great nation,” Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary for President Trump, said Fox News last night.

This weekend, you’re already experiencing that in this city.
