Carrie Underwood inauguration performance hit by huge technical blow as she sings for President Trump without any music

On Monday, January 20, CARRIE Underwood played at President Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington, D.C., but encountered significant technical issues.

During the inauguration, 41-year-old Carrie sang America the Beautiful, but the performance was not flawless.

As she made her way to the stage to sing at the major event, the new American Idol judge wore a simple white dress.

As she waited for the background music for a few uncomfortable seconds, she seemed to wince.

She eventually just started singing acapella.

On January 13, Carrie stated that she would be performing at the esteemed event.

American Idol execs ‘not happy’ Carrie Underwood will perform at inauguration

Carrie Underwood’s Idol salary revealed – and it’s half of Katy’s check

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” she told USA Today in a statement.

“I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

AMERICAN IDOL EXECS ‘NOT HAPPY’

Following the revelation that she will be performing in honor of President Trump’s special day, Carrie received private criticism from American Idol executives, as previously reported by The U.S. Sun.

According to a source, “there are producers who don’t approve and are worried,”

Many viewers have already started talking about a boycott; whether this is true or just noise will be determined by the ratings, but the discussion it has immediately thrust Idol into is not what the producers want.

They want the show to be a getaway from politics, not a place where politics are discussed.

The revelation did not impress Carrie’s colleagues American Idol judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richieas, nor host Ryan Seacrest.

Ryan, Luke, and Lionel won’t be pleased either because they will eventually be questioned about it in an interview as well, and they don’t want to be drawn into it,” the source clarified.

However, the source promised that Carrie’s participation in the inauguration would not result in her termination from the ABC music competition show.

Nothing in her contract is violated because [the inauguration] takes place prior to the airing of this season and it doesn’t clash with any of her Idol taping dates.”

“No one wins in politics, so I try to avoid it as much as possible, at least in public. It’s insane.
