Cold Weather Advisory: Dangerous temperatures, with wind chills as low as -15 possible Monday in Metro Detroit
chilly morning with temps in the single digits and wind chills below zero! There won’t be many snow showers today, and there may be some minor accumulation. Wednesday morning is the coldest day of the week, and we remain extremely chilly throughout the middle of the week!
DETROIT (FOX 2):The week has started off extremely chilly, with single-digit temperatures that seem like they are below zero.
Monroe County, Livingston County, Lapeer County, St. Clair County, Wayne County, Macomb County, Washtenaw County, and Oakland County are all under a Cold Weather Advisory through Wednesday at noon.
With highs reaching up to 10 degrees in the afternoon, wind chills remain around zero throughout the day. Throughout the day, we also had some lake effect snow, with most areas receiving a dusting of no more than an inch.
Monday night’s low is 2 degrees below zero, which feels like 10 to 15 degrees below freezing.
Observation:
With highs in the single digits and wind chills below zero all day, Tuesday will remain chilly.
With overnight lows below zero and wind chills of 15 to 20 degrees below zero, Wednesday is going to be the most severe day.
As the week draws to a close, the temperature rises back into the 20s and then into the 30s over the weekend!
