Duke star Khaman Maluach collapses to floor in agony in worrying scenes after concerning incident during NC State game
Khaman Maluach, a member of the Duke men’s basketball team, collapsed to the ground in agony during a Monday night matchup with North Carolina State.
The disturbing incident involving the NCAA college basketball star happened during the Blue Devils’ Cameron Indoor Stadium home game.
In the final four and a half minutes of the game, Duke was attempting to extend its advantage from 63 to 62.
The ESPN cameras captured Maluach on the low post during play, and he abruptly puked just beneath the hoop.
When the game was stopped by officials, the 7-foot-1 center let go of the fluids in his stomach and glanced down while Duke staff laid down towels to help mop up the mess.
The 18-year-old was then treated to by trainers after Maluach fell to the ground.

When Maluach eventually departed the court, players from both teams made their way to their benches.
After a lengthy wait, the competition was halted once more when a Duke student who had lost consciousness was assisted from the grandstand.
With a final score of 74-64, the Blue Devils defeated the Wolfpack.
Jon Scheyer, the head coach of Duke, disclosed after the game that Maluach had cramps but wasn’t sick.
The Gatorade was too much for the South Sudanese native’s stomach after that.
Scheyer told reporters, “He felt better after the game,” according to ESPN.
“I’m concerned for him.
“We have to get him rested.”
Cooper Flagg, a star for Duke, helped the team finish with an 11-2 run after Malucach left.
“That was just a little bit of a breather to set up and get stops and go on a run,” Flagg said.
“It was a break to collect myself.”
Thankfully, the student who left the game after losing consciousness was unharmed and eventually departed the venue on her own initiative, according to a Blue Devils official.

Duke is 10-0 thus far this season and has not lost.
The rival North Carolina TarHeelson will play the second-ranked Blue Devils on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
