As more people realize how important speech therapy is in treating a variety of communication issues, from developmental delays to speech impairments brought on by illnesses or injuries, the legislation reflects this expanding understanding.
Lawmakers intend to enable people to break through communication obstacles and realize their full potential by extending access to these services.
Additionally, families throughout Kentucky are anticipated to benefit from the measure, as many of them may have previously encountered limited availability or financial difficulties while attempting to provide speech therapy services for their loved ones.
Families will now have more flexibility and support in getting their loved ones the treatment they require thanks to enhanced insurance coverage and easier access to licensed therapists.
