Washington: At his Mar-a-Lago home, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will lobby former President Donald Trump for a law that would bar non-citizens from casting ballots.

According to a person familiar with the arrangements, Johnson and Trump will have a joint news conference at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago home on Friday. The top House Republican will highlight the measure to “elevate the issue of non-citizens voting in federal elections.”
