Macomb County drive-by shooting: Police seek suspects after arrests

FOX 2: MACOMB COUNTY, MIThe suspects in Sunday’s drive-by shooting in Macomb County are being sought by police.

According to officials from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, suspects in a white Cadillac SUV opened fire on a guy who was standing next to a car on Sheri Drive at Westbridge Manor.

After running away from the SUV, some of them came back. Two people were arrested: a 26-year-old man from Eastpointe and a 20-year-old woman from Detroit, according to Macomb County Cmdr. Jason Abro.

Police suspect three additional persons were involved, but two were apprehended at the site.

“It s very clear from our investigation early on, we believe that somebody was a target of this drive-by shooting,” Abro stated. “In a car, the officers found two suspects. After the inquiry started, they were finally stopped and taken into custody.

Later, they also took up an 18-year-old guy from Macomb Township.

According to Abro, the person was not shot.

They located the weapons with the assistance of a Chesterfield Township K9 handler who was on the site.

“We discovered an AK-47. We discovered an AR-15. Abro added, “We also found a handgun with an extended magazine.” “These individuals definitely meant business at the residence.”
