(FOX 2):Ahead of the anticipated winter storms on Thursday morning, Oakland University is bracing for the worst by calling off school.
All of Southeast Michigan is under a Winter Weather Advisory through Thursday at 9 a.m.
Overview:
Due to severe weather that is predicted to arrive tonight, Oakland University has canceled its Thursday morning sessions.
In order to prepare for the winter weather that is predicted for Thursday morning, the institution posted on social media that it will be closed from 5 a.m. until noon.
During this period, only critical services will be available.
A warning about an impending ice storm that might make roadways treacherous and hazardous to drive on was issued Wednesday afternoon.
Therefore, tomorrow morning’s scheduled classes will all be canceled.
Classes were canceled in other school districts as well.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service and will be in force from Wednesday night at 10 p.m. until Thursday morning at 9 a.m. Cities from the mid-Michigan I-69 corridor to the Ohio border are included in the advisory’s coverage area.
A tenth of an inch of ice is predicted to accumulate, and when temperatures drop, more sleet and snow are probably going to fall.
