Tragic Accident in Toombs County: 2 Youths Dead, Several Adults Wounded
On Friday morning, an incident happened in Toombs County, Georgia, which resulted in the deaths of two adolescents and injuries to some adults.
On Georgia Highway 130 East, the collision took place shortly after nine o’clock in the morning. A Chevrolet automobile was struck by a Ford truck driven by Freddy Juarez, who was 40 years old at the time. Juarez was reportedly carrying six additional people inside the vehicle.
Both Daniela Teran, who was 17 years old, and Sebastian Juarez, who was also 17 years old, were murdered. Life-threatening injuries were sustained by Reynalda Jimenez, who was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Savannah. Drivers Juarez and Robert Yepe, both 45 years old, as well as passengers Jose Gomez, 37 years old, Jesus Juarez, 27 years old, and Brucella Lopez, 33 years old, were all transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Jacksonville, Florida was the hometown of Juarez and all of his passengers.
According to the deputies, Juarez may have failed to fully stop at the intersection. The inquiry is now being handled by the Georgia State Patrol.” If somebody is being charged with anything, it is not evident.
Sebastián Juarez’s family has stated that he was originally from Venezuela, and they are currently seeking to raise funds to transport his body back to Venezuela for burial.
While writing on a GoFundMe page, his father, Luis Juarez, stated, “We arrived in this country with the intention and desire to fulfill a dream, a dream that was snatched away from him.”
