Romantic Revelations! Former Trump Prosecutor Opens Up About Controversial Relationship

Former Donald Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade stated in a new interview that he did not regret his romance with Fani Willis, but rather expressed concern for the uproar it generated.

Wade made the remarks in his first interview since resigning from the Georgia election tampering case in March after a judge decided that either he or Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, must stand down. When asked by ABC News’ Linsey Davis if he regretted his friendship with Willis, who remains on the case, Wade responded in a roundabout way.

“I regret that that private matter became the focal point of this very important prosecution,” Wade said in a statement. “This is a very important case,” he stated. “I hate that my personal life has begun to overshadow the true issues in the case.”

Regarding the romance, Wade appeared to dismiss the relationship, which continues to jeopardize the DA’s case against the former president.

“Workplace romances are as American as apple pie,” Wade said in a statement.

“This happens to everyone. “But it happened to both of us.” Wade withdrew from the election meddling case after one of Trump’s co-defendants said the prosecutor and the DA had an affair before he was hired in 2021. Wade and Willis admitted they were romantically involved, but claimed nothing began between them until 2022 when Wade was chosen to prosecute the Trump case, and that everything stopped in 2023.

However, according to a former DA employee and others, the couple began dating around 2019 or 2020.

It was also said that Willis extended the lawsuit against Trump and his co-defendants so that Wade could earn more money and take her on expensive excursions.

Following a hearing in March, Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee decided that there was insufficient evidence to support a conflict of interest, but noted in a stinging opinion that “an odor of mendacity remains.” He ruled that either Willis or Wade had to step aside from the lawsuit. Wade bowed out within hours.

Wade admitted to ABC that he and Willis could have put their feelings aside and waited until their case was resolved, but romance does not always follow rationality.

“When you are in the middle of it, these feelings are developing and you get to a point where the feelings are so strong that you start to want to do things that really are none of the public’s concern,” he went on to say.
