Utah Woman Arrested For Alleged Murder In Failed ‘Suicide Pact’
DEBARYLIFE – An incomplete “suicide pact,” according to the police, resulted in the death of the friend of a Utah woman who has been detained on murder charges.
Heavenly Faith Garfield, age 21, was taken into custody on Tuesday and is still being held without being granted bond on Wednesday in Utah County.
The unidentified victim, also 21, and she had been talking about the deal for a few weeks, family relatives said.
According to an affidavit of probable cause that was obtained by the Associated Press, the victim’s friend gave police texts that she had sent indicating that she wanted to die but was too afraid to take her own life.
The victim had a suicide pact with Ms. Garfield, the buddy also told the police.
On Tuesday, shortly before 3:30 p.m., Ms. Garfield’s father reported the gunshot to 911, according to the police. In accordance with the suicide pact, he said that his daughter had shot the 21-year-old victim at 10.45 am.

Attempts to reach Garfield’s mother by phone number on a voicemail left on Wednesday for comment were not promptly answered.
