Bond Set at $50,000 For Man Accused Of Punching Actor Steve Buscemi, How Does He Manage?
NEW YORK — Prosecutors in New York announced that the guy accused of beating actor Steve Buscemi on a Midtown street is being detained in jail on a bond.
According to police, on May 8, the 66-year-old actor—who has starred in shows including “Fargo” and “Boardwalk Empire”—was walking across Manhattan when he was struck in the face by an unknown assailant.
Three days after releasing a photo of the suspect, police on Friday took into custody a man in relation to the assault.
The attack has been confirmed by Buscemi’s publisher, who also stated that the actor was treated for eye injuries at a hospital but was otherwise unharmed.
Prosecutors claimed that after the 50-year-old accused male was arraigned on Saturday, the court set his bail at $50,000. If the defendant had an attorney who could represent him, it was unknown.

There is a message left on the local public defender’s phone. On Thursday, the suspect is expected back in court.
Authorities withheld the names of the two individuals the man allegedly hit at the time of the criminal complaint. It also claims that CCTV footage showed the attack on Buscemi.
Michael Stuhlbarg, Buscemi’s co-star on “Boardwalk Empire,” was attacked in March by a different stranger. on Manhattan’s Central Park, someone is said to have struck him on the back of the neck with a rock.
