‘SHOCKING’ – Manhattan Street Stabbing Claims Woman’s Life, Says NYPD
Washington Heights, Manhattan — On a Manhattan street early on Monday morning, a woman was stabbed several times before passing away, according to the police.
At approximately 5:40 a.m., Shirley Rodriguez, 29, was stabbed in the face, neck, and shoulder outside her apartment building in Washington Heights near West 175th Street and Haven Avenue, according to the NYPD.

Although the victim was taken to the hospital immediately, there was little chance of saving her. The cause of death will be established by the medical examiner.

According to police sources, the suspect—possibly the victim’s boyfriend—ran from the site of the crime while wearing all black. No one has been taken into custody.
