Delaware Tobacco Stores Hit by Multiple Break-Ins in Under 1 Hour
Delaware, Ohio — Delaware police say there is a connection between the three vape shop burglaries that occurred in less than an hour.
The first happened on May 4 at Tobacco and Vape at roughly 4:40 a.m. The second occurred at Delaware Tobacco & Vape, less than 0.5 miles away, shortly before 5:10 a.m. The last burglary occurred just before 5:25 a.m. at Vapor Station, which is a little over five miles from Delaware Tobacco & Vape.
Two robbers are seen smashing the window to get in, according to surveillance footage from Tobacco and Vape. A white automobile with a third suspect inside sat out front. The burglars wasted little time in getting to the cash register, as seen in the security footage.
“They went to the back and took some stuff, bags, and the register,” the proprietor of Tobacco and Vape stated.
About $300 in cash was obtained by the criminals.
“I haven’t had any issues in the past ten months since moving here. According to the owner, it’s safe.
The suspects were shown on camera smashing the front doors of all three establishments and making their way straight to the cash registers.
