Heatwave Alert! Orlando’s Memorial Day Weekend Outlook, ‘SEE HERE’

Orlando, Florida — Our holiday weekend is seeing temperatures that are still in the mid-to-upper 90s.

Afternoon peaks Sunday increase to 96 mph with 5 to 10 mph winds out of the southwest. The likelihood of rain is still 10%.

Osceola and Brevard counties have the biggest probability of rain this afternoon and early evening due to the collision of our sea winds. The heat index readings should be in the low 100s when relative humidity is taken into account.

For Memorial Day weekend, swim close to a lifeguard if you want to visit the beach. The threat posed by rip currents is moderate. Swim parallel to the coast until the tide releases you if you become entangled in a rip current.

On Monday, the afternoon high will be around 97. It’s going to feel more like 105. The likelihood of rain is 10% once more.

Our risk of rain is increased to 50% on Tuesday when a cold front moves into Central Florida.

The likelihood of rain decreases to 40% by Wednesday. The outlook for the following weekend still calls for afternoon showers every day.
