WOMAN ARRESTED in Connection With Tanglewood Drive COCAINE Bust, Meth Distribution Alleged
A more suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the cocaine bust that took place on Tanglewood Drive the previous week.
Sheryl Sue Assad, who is 48 years old, was taken into custody by investigators and officers from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on the 100 block of St. Patrick Street at approximately one o’clock in the afternoon. It has been alleged that she was involved in the distribution of three and a half pounds of methamphetamine.
According to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, Assad rented the mobile home in her name that Thomas Jones used to keep crystal meth. Jones was the one who carried out the storage. Her booking into the Warren County Jail has been completed, and she is scheduled to make an appearance in the Warren County Justice Court on Wednesday.
Pace made the following statement: “This investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in Vicksburg and Warren County is still ongoing.”
Last week, the Vicksburg Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug raid, which resulted in the seizure of a total of 217 grams, which is equivalent to about half a pound, of crystal methamphetamine, 131 tablets of crushed fentanyl, half an ounce of crack cocaine, and a sum of $4,148.00.
It is estimated that the illegal substances have a street worth of $7,800.
Both Thomas Jones and Charley Lee Brown were taken into custody jointly.
