Bodies of Two Men Discovered After Shootings on Rainbow Drive and Candler Road

The bodies of two individuals were discovered on Friday, following what appears to have been a shooting that took place over a half-mile stretch of land spanning Rainbow Drive and Candler Road.

The Exchange at Decatur, which can be found at 3009 Rainbow Drive, was the location where the violence broke out about seven minutes before seven twenty o’clock. A man who had died from several gunshot wounds was discovered by officers from the DeKalb County Police Department when they arrived at the scene.

A second man is believed to have driven away from the site in a black vehicle, according to reports. The destroyed vehicle of the suspect was eventually spotted by the police at Candler Road close to Embers Drive. The investigators were under the impression that he collided with a minivan.

He, too, was found to have been shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, according to the police.

It was possible to notice a bullet hole in the glass of the automobile that was located on the driver’s side.

Additionally, the sedan was equipped with what appeared to be emergency lights and a government plate; however, the investigators have not yet established whether or not the individual was a first responder.

There was a significant police presence that momentarily shut Candler Road, which is located immediately south of Interstate 20 and leads to Rainbow Drive.

At this time, the names of the persons who passed away have not been made public by the authorities. A thorough investigation into the reasons behind the shooting is currently being conducted by the detectives.
