Durham Police Seize Three FIREARMS and Over Seven Pounds of MARIJUANA in Raid
Three weapons and more than seven pounds of marijuana were taken into custody by the police in Durham on Thursday, according to the official report.
Wednesday was the day when the Special Operations Unit of the Durham Police Department carried out the execution of a search warrant in the 2700 block of Edmund Street. According to the officers, they were able to seize 3,353 grams of marijuana, which is equivalent to more than seven pounds.
In addition, the police took three firearms, one of which was an AR pistol, as well as $1,686 in cash after the incident. The police have brought two males into custody.

Sanford, Rakeem, age 25, from Durham, was charged with the following:
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Felony conspiracy
Tyrek Jennings, who is 27 years old and lives in Durham, was charged with numerous offenses, including possession of marijuana with the intent to sell or deliver it, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling, criminal conspiracy, and two counts of carrying a concealed arm.
