GREED-FUELED CRIME! Pennsylvania Pizza Shop Owner Sentenced for Fatally Shooting Longtime Partner
A 51-year-old woman will serve 18 to 40 years in state prison after fatally shooting her longtime lover and business partner in 2022 and leaving his body in their home for about two weeks.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office published Anna Tolomello’s sentencing guidelines on June 25th. In April, she pled guilty to third-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend and business partner, Giovanni Gallina, aged 65. Tolomello and Gallina allegedly ran Pina’s Pizza together in New Britain, Pennsylvania.

According to authorities, Gallina’s son reported his father missing after not hearing from him since March 16, 2022, and being unable to call him. Tolomello never informed law police about Gallina’s disappearance, instead claiming the victim was out of town.
Police arrived at Tolomello and Gallina’s home and discovered Gallina’s body in the primary bedroom, draped in a blue tarp. Prosecutors said Tolomello initially claimed she shot Gallina in the head in self-defense, but later conceded “her killing of Gallina was unjustified.” Tolomello allegedly buried her partner’s body at their house for 13 days, removing and destroying evidence.

Prosecutors said the defendant utilized gambling applications on her phone shortly after the death, which Common Pleas Judge Gary Gilman described as “heinous.”
In an impact statement, Gallina’s children reportedly described their father as “a hardworking man who was loved by all.”
His children feel Tolomello’s acts were motivated by money, and the victim’s legacy was destroyed by someone who only cared about themselves.
