Aaron Rodgers drops major retirement hint after New York Jets disaster as huge doubts mount over 2025 season

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, gave away a hint regarding his NFL future.

As the Jets’ disastrous season draws to a close, the 41-year-old Rodgers has revealed his latest retirement hint.

At the end of the season, Rodgers will reassess whether or not to continue his career, he told reporters on Wednesday.

“After the year, I’m going to take a break. Unless I am immediately released,” the 20-year NFL veteran stated.

“However, I will still give it some thought before deciding whether or not to play.

“I will take some time to get away from it either way.”

On November 13, Rodgers responded, “I think so, yeah,” when asked if he intended to make a comeback in 2025.

His mid-November response mirrored his feelings last season when he said that he hoped to play “two or three or four more years.”

“I’m not playing as well as I would’ve liked to play for sure,” he stated. “This game’s team aspect is its greatest feature.

“The frustrating part is that you’re a great competitor, you hold yourself to a standard that’s not unrealistic, and I haven’t reacted that standard this year.”
