Aaron Rodgers gives cryptic retirement hint as New York Jets make major bench decision after pulling him against Bills
By the end of this season, Aaron Rodgers might be on his way to retirement.
It appears increasingly more likely that the New York Jets quarterback, Rodgers, will leave the NFL at the end of the season following yet another terrible performance.
For the Jets, Rodgers’ tenure as quarterback was supposed to usher in a new era.
The former Green Bay Packer would ignite the league and guide them to their first postseason appearance in more than ten years.
Rather, year after year, the Jets have remained the same humiliating shambles.
This year, Rodgers is playing like a player who is beyond 40. In 2023, he played just one drive before rupturing his Achilles.

That was most evident on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, when Rodgers was unable to complete the entire game.
Before being benched in the second half of the game, he only managed to pass for 118 yards, two interceptions, and no touchdowns.
Rodgers was so awful that he even recommended benching him in favor of backup Tyrod Taylor.
Rodgers remarked, “I mean, it was 33-0,”
“At one point, as we were seated, I said, ‘Probably go to Tyrod here, huh?
“Then the next play [the Bills] threw a screen for a touchdown, so it was 40-0.”
After the game, Rodgers had nothing to say about his team’s performance, stating that it was typical of the entire season.
“It’s kind of like the season it just got away from us,” he stated.
“We lost far too many games. We were unable to win this game. After doing a good job of moving the ball, we simply ran into a wall.
“And that’s been kind of the season too.”
Although Rodgers isn’t sure if this season will be his final one in the NFL, he has stated that he would give it some thought when the season concludes.
NFL WARNS OF CRIME RING
The NFL warned the player’s union and team security directors that crooks were targeting professional athletes’ residences.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were both broken into on separate days in October.
Linval Joseph, a former defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings who is currently with the Dallas Cowboys, had his house broken into in November.
The home of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was then broken into in early December.
Dak Prescott’s girlfriend and Luka Don I were both attacked a few days after Christmas.
The burglaries are being investigated by the FBI as a component of a global organized crime organization.
The crimes, which are thought to be connected to a South American crime gang, have been under observation by the NFL Players Association and team security agencies.
It is thought that on game days when the players are not there, the burglars frequently break into residences.
Items like cash, jewelry, watches, and purses are swiftly stolen by them.
NFL Security issued a statement in November encouraging players to install security systems and keep valuables out of sight, and cautioning them against posting on social media in real time.
“After the year, I’m going to take a break. Assuming I’m not immediately released,” the 20-year NFL veteran stated.
“However, I will still give it some thought before deciding whether or not to play.
“I will take some time to get away from it either way.”

Although he has expressed a wish to rejoin the Jets in 2025, it is unknown if the team will accept his return.
After the season, Rodgers might be released by New York instead.
