Aaron Rodgers issues statement over retirement rumors and makes major New York Jets decision

AARON RODGERS has responded to rumors that he is retiring and made hints about his future plans.

“I’m not leaping off the ship like, ‘Oh, I certainly want to play and not in New York,’ because I came here to win.

“I don’t even know if I want to play yet but New York will be my first option.”

Rodgers’ remarks follow a report that said he would have a difficult time continuing to play next season.

He signed with the New York Jets last year, but he has had two injury-plagued seasons with the team.

It would be a “uphill battle” for Rodgers to play in 2025, according to Ian Rapoport of NFLNetwork.
