Andy Reid issues clear statement over Saquon Barkley fears just days before Chiefs-Eagles in Super Bowl

Andy Reid is demonstrating his admiration for his opponent to the NFL community.

The head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs has nothing but good things to say about the best player on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Stopping Saquon Barkley from running all over them in the Super Bowl will be a difficult challenge for the Chiefs.

Reid, though, isn’t communicating to the press that he is concerned about him.

Rather, Reid expressed his admiration for the league’s best running back.

“[Saquon Barkley]’s a great player, potential future Hall of Famer,” stated Reid.

“He had a fantastic season with the Eagles this year and was outstanding in New York.

“He can catch the ball, but he has aided them, particularly in the rush game.”

“He’s been a great addition for them.”

On social media, NFL fans expressed their opinions regarding Reid’s tactful response to Saquon, who is well-known for his skill.

“Big Red knows ball,” shouted one supporter.

“Yeah, but it’d be way more interesting if Andy would’ve talked smack,” a another fan said.

A third admirer remarked, “That is not high praise, it’s just stating the obvious,”

A fourth admirer said, “The best RB IN THE WORLD!!!!!”

“Don’t start with that nice guy bulls*** Andy,” remarked a fifth admirer.

In 2024, Barkley had one of his greatest running back seasons ever.

He ran for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games.

As a receiver, Barkley also contributed 278 yards and two touchdowns.

In terms of touches, rushing yards, rushing yards per game, and yards from scrimmage, he was the NFL’s top player.

He will probably be a candidate for MVP and Offensive Player of the Year after being selected to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro first team.
