At least seven killed and 15 injured as bus plunges into 200ft gorge after slamming through barrier

A luxury bus crashed through a barrier and fell into a 200-foot chasm, killing seven people and injuring fifteen.

Around 4:15 in the am, the driver lost control, and the car, which was carrying 48 pilgrims, crashed through a crash barrier and plunged approximately 35 feet off the road.

Five individuals killed instantly, according to police in Gujarat, India, while 17 were hospitalized; two of them eventually passed away from their wounds.

The blue double-decker bus was photographed at the bottom of the gorge, its roof completely collapsed.

The pilgrims were traveling to Dwarka in Gujarat from Madhya Pradesh, a sizable state in central India.

The incident follows the death of thirty individuals in a stampede at the Kumbh Mela, a religious festival in Meghalaya.
