Awkward national anthem moment before Knicks-Hornets as young singer is ‘disgracefully’ interrupted
At the New York Knicks game, a singer of the National Anthem confronted a heckler while performing.
Prior to the Knicks vs. Charlotte Hornets game, the young vocalist was cut off.
During her performance, a fan began yelling, and the woman, Liceli, began to sing the Star Spangled Banner.
She stopped singing and looked into the crowd, refusing to allow the heckler go on.
She regained her composure swiftly and resumed singing the anthem, to the thunderous cheers of the audience.
Karl-Anthony Towns, the star of the Knicks, was beaming throughout the exchange.

She wrote as the caption for the photo, “Umm n e ways… here I am!”
Following the playing of the national anthem, the Knicks proceeded to thoroughly destroy the Hornets.
They improved to 14-8 after winning the game 125-101.
Towns had 27 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 assists at the end of the game.
