Baby left behind at scene of crash, as driver flees on Detroit’s east side

A car crashed on Seven Mile, leaving a baby behind, and the driver ran away. It was a crazy scene.

DETROIT (FOX 2):On Friday night, an accident on Detroit’s east side left a newborn at the scene.

According to Detroit police, the infant had non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to a local hospital.

Around 8:20 p.m., the collision occurred near Seven Mile and Hoover. The baby was left behind as the driver fled the scene on foot.

The culprit is presently being sought by Detroit police. FOX 2 cameras captured images of a Chrysler sedan with damage on the rear passenger door and a Kia sedan with damage on the front end, suggesting that two cars may have been involved.

There is no more information available about the crash’s circumstances.
