Bad News! Man’s Body Found Along Shoreline At Indiana Dunes State Park

CHESTERTON, Indiana –  A man was discovered deceased by the coast at Indiana Dunes State Park, and an investigation is currently under progress.

Around 6:50 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a report of a possible body in the water just north of the Dunes Pavilion, according to a Town of Chesterton Facebook post.

On the beach, in around a foot of water, the man was discovered completely clothed. His true identity is still unknown.

As officials responded to a terrible discovery—a man’s lifeless body discovered along the Indiana Dunes State area’s shoreline—a gloomy atmosphere descended upon the area. Early in the morning, the incident happened, leaving officials and guests quite uneasy.

Park rangers quickly arrived at the location to conduct an investigation after receiving reports from worried park visitors. An instant response was given by local law enforcement and emergency services upon discovering the body, which was later identified as that of a middle-aged male.

Authorities have begun a comprehensive inquiry to ascertain the reason and method of the man’s death, even if details regarding the circumstances of his death are still scarce.
