MORE SETTLEMENT OFFERS

Baer is not alone, though, as other businesses have also been hit with class action data breach settlements.

Great Expressions, a countrywide network of 246 dental offices, was sued for allegedly not protecting customer data following a data breach that occurred in September 2023.

Great Expressions is resolving claims that its inadequate cybersecurity procedures permitted unauthorized access to private customer data.

The business has agreed to settle the complaint in order to address the concerns, but it has not acknowledged any wrongdoing.

Those that were informed of the data breach by Great Expressions stand to gain from the settlement.

Depending on whether the incident may have affected Social Security numbers, it separates people into two subclasses.

The $5,175 million settlement revolves around the well-known protective gear and apparel manufacturer Magid Glove.

By employing “fingerprint time clocks” and collecting temperatures using scanners over an eight-year period, they are alleged to have violated Illinois legislation.

The class action lawsuit claims that Magid Glove improperly notified people about the usage of temperature scanners and fingerprint time clocks.
