BBC SPOTY favourite Keely Hodgkinson reveals fashion legend touched her cheek and called her beautiful

KEELY HODGKINSON claims that the most bizarre thing that has happened to her after winning the Olympic 800-meter title is that fashion icon Giorgio Armani called her lovely.

The British sports star is currently in high demand, both on the track and on the catwalk. In September, a prominent fashion designer invited her to Milan.

Being at ease in both high heels and spikes, Hodgkinson was taken aback when the renowned Italian designer took notice of her spectacular Parisian performance.

The most bizarre thing that has ever happened to me, claimed 22-year-old Hodgkinson. Upon meeting Giorgio Armani, I will say…

He approached me, placed his palm on my cheek, and referred to me as Bella, which means “pretty” in English. which I found to be rather pleasant.

He is only a small man. I had a brief encounter with him at Fashion Week in Milan. Although he is not fluent in English, he is very passionate about his sport. Even though he is 90 years old, he still looks fantastic.

He continues to be quite active at his job. It was a truly awesome moment.

It is a fantastic illustration of the crazy world of stardom that Hodgkinson currently lives in.

However, she has earned it because, in the past 60 years, only NINE other women have won an Olympic gold medal in track and field while wearing the colors of Team GB.

Because of this, she is the front-runner to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, which will be given tonight near her Salford apartment.

She will become the fourth consecutive woman to get the award, which is a record but 10 less than the men’s longest sequence, if darts player Luke Littler is a formidable opponent.

Additionally, Trevor Painter, her training coach, is probably going to win Coach of the Year after leading three Olympic medallists this summer.

Hodgkinson stated: “It didn’t go my way at all when I started training at the beginning of the year.”

I was out for a few months due to an injury. However, I continued to have faith in the process, and the training improved.

After about a month, I realized how well I was doing.

I’ve accomplished all I set out to do on the outdoor track for the first time in a year, which is really unique and doesn’t happen very frequently.

Hodgkinson will want to capture three gold medals in 2025, first at the European level and then at the World Indoor Championships in September.

She is also aiming for the contentious 800-meter world record of 1 minute 53.28 seconds, which was achieved in 1983 by Czech athlete Jarmila Kratochvilova.

Whether she can do it in the upcoming year or nearer the 2028 Summer Olympics is the question.

Medals can never be taken away from you, therefore that will always be a high priority, stated Hodgkinson, whose current personal best time is 1:54.61. I have yet to win a gold medal at the World Championship.

Although it clearly requires a unique race, I do believe that 1.53 is achievable.
