According to the North Myrtle Beach police report, the 18-year-old girl was residing at a nearby residence with her family. Around 5:39 a.m., she went to the beach behind the Baywatch Hotel, 2701 South Ocean Blvd., to watch the sunrise and video call her boyfriend, when Moore approached her and started talking to her.
The victim inquired whether Moore was wearing an ankle monitor, to which Moore replied that it was his firearm, which he always carries, according to the report. The adolescent stated that she did not feel she could go.
