DEBARYLIFE – A young woman and a teenage boy were the targets of gunshots in a Chicago neighborhood on Saturday night, setting off a new wave of violence that has alarmed the locals.

The shooting, according to Chicago police, started at 7:40 p.m. in the 6100 block of West Dickens Avenue when a person in a dark-colored automobile started shooting at the throng.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a 14-year-old child suffered a graze wound to his right foot and needed to be taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park straight away. The boy’s condition was described as fair.
