Hopefully, a second location—which Southern Utah sorely needs—will open up shortly. There are now 11 Costcos in Utah, spanning from North Ogden to St. George.
However, Utah is also home to the largest Costco in the world! Situated in Salt Lake City, Utah at 1818 S 300 W, it spans a massive 235,000 square feet.

Although it appears large from the outside, it doesn’t seem as large as I had anticipated. Nevertheless, as soon as I entered, it simply continued on and on. Like the Energizer Bunny, that is. Total CRAZY!

I could see for miles in every way I looked! Every area was almost five times larger than the Costco in St. George! More televisions, a tonne of clothing, food, drink, and everything in general! This Costco was first opened in 1995, then it was renovated and enlarged in 2015! To see EVERYTHING in this store would take hours! You just can’t ask for much that this store doesn’t stock!
Take a look at how huge the meat part is! There are so many aisles, and they are long! It’s amazing how many freezers there are.
When you think you’ve seen everything in the store, you round a corner and, surprise!, there’s more! Once more, turn the corner—MORE AISLES! It’s going to spin your head.
Check out the dairy section as well! It could accommodate a whole petrol station. It has TWO entrances, is deep, and is tall. And a whole section devoted to tobacco. Is that available in the Costco in St. George?
And whole animals’ worth of flesh is available. Lamb. Swine. WHOLE BODY WHAT?
Make sure you pack your walking shoes and prepare to walk a lot if you want to visit the WORLD’S LARGEST COSTCO in Salt Lake City. It’s enormous! It’s puzzling!
