Bodycam Footage Depicts Fatal Encounter as Armed Man Jumps off Reseda Balcony

DEBARYLIFE – A dramatic bodycam video captures the exact moment that an armed guy who had jumped from the balcony of a Reseda apartment building was shot and killed by Los Angeles police.

The LAPD reports that the shooting took place in an apartment complex in the 7900 block of Reseda Boulevard on March 21 at approximately 5:10 a.m.

The moment the suspect, brandishing a weapon leaps from a third-floor balcony and lands on the ground is seen on camera. When the suspect disregarded orders and went for the gun, according to the police, an officer shot fire.

When police first came to the apartment building, they were there to serve a search warrant and make an arrest of the suspect, who was reportedly involved in several robberies.

A SWAT team can be seen on camera ordering the suspect out of his flat. Less-lethal shots are fired at the suspect’s back bedroom window at one point.

The guy can be seen jumping from the balcony on camera as the standoff goes on.
An officer comments, “He’s got a gun,” once the subject is on the ground.

The guy is said to have started reaching for the firearm, at which point multiple bullets are fired.

Zeff Rocco, the suspect, was shot and transferred to a hospital where he was later declared deceased.

The LAPD reported that they had collected high-capacity magazines and a rifle that they believed to be a ghost gun from the area.
