DEBARYLIFE – Angel Reese, a rookie with the Chicago Sky, was named co-owner of the DC Power Football Club (FC) on Tuesday.
Washington, D.C. is home to the American women’s soccer team DC Power FC. The team will participate in the United Soccer League’s new Division I league, the USL Super League. The release date is set for August 2024.
Reese, an LSU product and the seventh overall pick overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, is from Baltimore, Maryland.

In order to keep advancing female athletes and the women’s game overall, Reese remarked, “It is an honor to be able to support Power FC and invest in women’s soccer in the DMV community.”
On May 16, 2023, Washington, D.C. was revealed as one of the eight USL Super League venues. Together with a few other nearby soccer teams, Audi Field is home to DC United of the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Reese spoke on social media following the news’s release, sharing her own joy.
